Carbon Offsetting
Carbon Offsetting
Taking responsibility for your impact — with transparency and integrity.
Carbon Offsetting with Confidence and Clarity
Taking responsibility for residual emissions is a powerful step toward genuine climate leadership. Carbon offsetting enables your business to fund projects that make a measurable difference — restoring forests, supporting communities and accelerating a low-carbon future.
As the demand for credible action grows, Earth Hub can help you choose trusted projects and build an offsetting portfolio with real impact.
What Is Carbon Offsetting?
Carbon offsetting allows organisations to take immediate, measurable action on climate change by investing in verified projects that reduce or remove greenhouse-gas emissions. These projects — from reforestation and renewable energy to clean-cookstove and community initiatives — compensate for the emissions that can’t yet be eliminated from your operations.
Offsetting doesn’t replace carbon reduction — it complements it. It’s a way to balance today’s impact while your organisation continues to decarbonise for the long term. Taking responsibility for residual emissions is a defining part of credible sustainability. High-quality offsetting demonstrates that your organisation is acting now, not later, to support global decarbonisation and the transition to Net Zero.
At Earth Hub, we help ensure your offsets deliver real environmental and social value, backed by internationally recognised standards and transparent reporting.
How Earth Hub Can Help
Our consultants will guide you through every stage of the offsetting process — from defining your goals to verifying your results. We’ll work with you to:
Calculate and verify your residual emissions after reduction measures.
Develop a bespoke offsetting strategy aligned with your sustainability objectives.
Select verified, high-impact projects accredited under standards such as Gold Standard and Verified Carbon Standard (VCS).
Provide full documentation and retirement certificates for audit and reporting.
Integrate offsetting into your wider Net Zero or ESG strategy, ensuring consistency and credibility across all communications.
We manage the full offsetting process on your behalf — sourcing projects, handling retirements, and maintaining clear, transparent records.
A Sample of The Projects We Support
Project ID VCS 2023 Renewable Solar Power Project By Rishabh Renergy
This renewable energy project delivers clean electricity to the Indian grid by harnessing the power of the sun. Located in Harpan Halli, Davangere District, the 15 MW solar installation generates approximately 30,000 MWh of clean energy each year, displacing fossil fuel–based electricity from the national grid. Over its initial 10-year crediting period, the project is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by around 28,000 tonnes of CO₂e annually, contributing directly to India’s transition toward sustainable power generation. By supporting this project, you’re helping to expand renewable energy capacity, reduce reliance on coal, and create meaningful environmental and social impact in one of the world’s fastest-developing regions.
PROJECT ID VCS 2943 GLOBAL COOKSTOVE PROGRAM
This project promotes cleaner, more efficient cooking by distributing fuel-efficient improved cookstoves (ICS) to households and communities across India, with plans to expand into other regions of Asia and Africa. The initiative replaces traditional, low-efficiency stoves with high-performance cookstoves that use wood and biomass more efficiently — improving heat transfer, reducing fuel consumption, and cutting greenhouse gas emissions. By using less wood, the project helps slow deforestation, while also reducing indoor air pollution that poses serious health risks, particularly
PROJECT ID VCS927 13.75 mw wIND PROJECT IN DAVANGERE
This wind power project generates renewable electricity through 10 wind turbine generators with a total capacity of 13.75 MW, located across the Davangere District of Karnataka. The electricity generated is supplied to the Karnataka Power Transmission Company Limited (KPTCL), reducing the need for carbon-intensive energy sources. Each year, the project delivers measurable emissions reductions and supports India’s renewable energy targets. By investing in clean wind power, this project strengthens local infrastructure, supports green jobs, and contributes to global efforts to mitigate climate change.
PROJECT ID VCS 974 SABARI ii HYDRO POWER PROJECT BY DSL HYDROWATT
this 5.4 MW run-of-river hydropower project generates renewable electricity without the need for large reservoirs or significant environmental disruption. Using water diverted from the tailrace of the existing Sarbari I hydro station, the Sarbari II plant harnesses the natural flow of the river to produce clean energy for the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement. The project eliminates the need for fossil fuel–based power generation, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while supporting India’s renewable energy targets. Constructed within existing waterways, it has no negative environmental impacts and demonstrates how innovation in small-scale hydropower can balance energy needs with ecosystem preservation.
